The Town of Huntington helped spread awareness about pediatric cancer on Friday.
Trees were decorated with gold ribbons - each one bearing the name of a child who had cancer.
Organizers hope that seeing the tree will open a dialogue about childhood cancer.

A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Daniela Conte Foundation, which provides hope to children fighting cancer.

The foundation aims to be a "beacon of hope" in the lives of children battling cancer in memory of Daniela, who died at the age of 8.

The event boasts live actors, fire, baked goods, and an emcee. Here's how you can visit the free attraction, though donations are welcome.

Student athletes in the Comsewogue School District raised over $680 through the month of September to support the Dix Hills-based Daniela Conte Foundation, a nonprofit that raises awareness of childhood cancer and provides financial support to local families of children battling cancer.

This year, the Daniela Conte Foundation is honored to receive a $20,125 grant from Subaru's 14th Annual Share the Love Event. This annual fundraising event has donated over $225 million to local and national charities since it began in 2008. Hasset Subaru of Wantagh, NY chose DCF as their hometown charity and beneficiary for this year’s campaign.
